A corporate accountant with Lan Oxford since 2009, Jessica Zamarron helped reduce office paperwork by 90 percent through the implementation of electronic accounting procedures. She also introduced digital distribution agreements, which decreased processing time by 80 percent. Outside of work, Jessica Zamarron supports charitable organizations, such as the Star of Hope Mission.
Committed to uplifting and empowering people experiencing homelessness, the Women and Family Development Center at Star of Hope’s Cornerstone Community houses up to 160 homeless single women and 130 homeless families each day. The facility offers basic recovery services and access to public transportation, as well as physical and mental health services to help residents move toward independent living.
Residents can participate in an intensive substance abuse recovery program or a workforce development program that helps them identify and pursue career goals, while children have access to preschool, afterschool care, and homework assistance. Additionally, all residents are invited to attend Biblical studies and chapel services to assist in their spiritual recovery.
